Nintendo teased this new event in New Horizons in the past, but now that it’s here players will want to know all the ins and outs including how to hang out with two of the more recognizable Animal Crossing characters in the franchise, Cyrus and Reese.
Wedding Season in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is an all-month event. That’s right, each day will bring a new challenge for New Horizons players as they help Cyrus and Reese with their wedding photos. But don’t fret, if the first day was anything to go by Wedding Season may be easier than expected.
Players will first need to head over to their island airport and visit Harv’s Island. This is the hippie dog’s island that players can use to take elaborate photos.
Once you land on Harv’s island a cutscene of Harvey talking with Cyrus and Reese ensues. Speak to Harvey and he’ll explain how he needs your help getting Cyrus and Reese’s wedding shoot ready.
Cyrus and Reese are taking anniversary photos and they want to request different aspects of their wedding. Your task is to decorate the room and take the photo.
On Day 1, Reese asks for you to decorate the room like a chapel to recreate when they said their “I dos.” She requests plenty of pink and white, but from the furniture given to you it’s rather simple to get what they want.
Inside the chest, you’ll have the wedding flooring and wall which are already up. You’ll also have a wedding bench as well as flower decorations to hang on the wall. Players simply have to place three wedding benches on either side facing the couple. Then hang up the flower decorations on the wall and you’re done.
Of course, you can decorate the room with as much or as little as possible, but this is the best way of using the items given to you.
After decorating, speak to Reese and she’ll ask if you’re ready to take a picture. Say yes and take your photo of the couple. If you take more than one photo, Reese will look at the last one you took. She’ll also give advice on how to make the photo better like saying the set is a bit plain if you don’t place enough decorations.
Once the Day 1 shoot is complete, Reese will give you a Wedding Bench and five Heart Crystals that you can use to purchase furniture from Cyrus. To purchase furniture, simply speak with Cyrus and you’ll have a list of some available on Day 1. This selection will likely change each day so don’t be afraid to save up your Crystals for another day.
If you do purchase furniture, it seems that it will be shipped to your mailbox on your island the next day. Also, if you leave the room, you won’t be able to go back to Cyrus and Reese for another day so be sure you’re finished before exiting the cabin.
